Subject: Life
Hymn 131
L. T. Caswell
I am the way, the truth, the life,
Our blessed Master said;
And whoso to the Father comes,
Must in my pathway tread:
A way that is not hedged with forms;
A truth, too large for creeds;
A life, indwelling, deep and broad,
That meets the heart's great needs.
To point that living way, to speak
The truth that makes men free,
To bring that quick'ning life from heaven,
Is highest ministry.
The scriptural selections are from Psalms.
Psalms 85:1,2 (to 1st .),3‑12
Lord, thou hast been
favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy
people, thou hast covered all their sin.
Thou hast taken away all thy
wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause
thine anger toward us to cease. Wilt
thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all
generations? Wilt thou not revive us
again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and
grant us thy salvation. I will hear what
God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his
saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in
our land. Mercy and truth are met
together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and
righteousness shall look down from heaven.
Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield
her increase.
Psalms 147:12‑18
Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem;
praise thy God, O Zion. For he hath
strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within
thee. He maketh peace in thy borders, and
filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very
swiftly. He giveth snow like wool: he
scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes. He
casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold? He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he
causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
Silent prayer, followed by the audible repetition of the Lord’s prayer, with its spiritual interpretation as given in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy
Our Father which art in heaven,
Our Father-Mother God, all-harmonious,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Adorable One.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy kingdom is come; Thou art ever-present.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Enable us to know – as in heaven, so on earth
God is omnipotent, supreme.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Give us grace for today; feed the famished affections;
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And Love is reflected in love;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;
And God leadeth us not into temptation, but delivereth us from sin, disease, and death.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
For God is infinite, all-power, all Life, Truth, Love, over all, and All.
Hymn 154
Frances A. Fox
In Thee, O Spirit true and tender,
I find my life as God's own child;
Within Thy light of glorious splendor
I lose the earth‑clouds drear and wild.
Within Thy love is safe abiding
From every thought that giveth fear;
Within Thy truth a perfect chiding,
Should I forget that Thou art near.
In Thee I have no pain or sorrow,
No anxious thought, no load of care.
Thou art the same today, tomorrow;
Thy love and truth are everywhere.

Hymn 59
John S. B. Monsell*
Fight the good fight with all thy might,
Christ is thy strength, and Christ thy right;
Lay hold on Life, and it shall be
Thy joy and crown eternally.
Run the straight race through God's good
grace,
Lift up thine eyes, and seek His face;
Life with its way before us lies,
Christ is the path, and Christ the prize.
Faint not nor fear, His arms are near;
He changeth not, and thou art dear;
On Him rely and thou shalt see
That Christ is all in all to thee.
"The Scientific Statement of Being" (S&H p. 468} and the correlative scripture according to I John 3:1-3.
There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all. Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error. Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal. Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual.

1John.3
[1] Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
[2] Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
[3] And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Benediction
John 1:14 the
the Word was made flesh, and
dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of
the Father,) full of grace and truth.
